‘Blues, Brews and BBQ’ to kick off Friday in Halifax

Halifax Events kicks off the summer at the Farmer’s Market in the Town of Halifax on Friday, June 14, from 6-11 p.m. with a great night of “Blues, Brews and BBQ.” 

Young local thespians learn from professionals in Prizery’s Summer Theatre program

Sixty-five talented voices fill the space on the third floor of South Boston’s Prizery, rehearsing for the upcoming Oliver! — a fun family musical telling the story of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist.

Beat the clock: Kickstarter campaign seeks $20,000 for The Prizery

Last year, Kickstarter surpassed the National Endowment for the Arts in the amount of money spent to underwrite “Art” projects in the United States.  The Prizery was one of those projects, raising $27,000 in 14 days using the online fundraising website.
