• Halifax County High School, South Boston … Blessed Hope Halifax and the “Soldiers of the Cross” present Brian Free & Assurance live in concert April 19. Doors open at 6 p.m., concert starts at 7 p.m. Admission is free, the sponsors just ask that everyone who has the means to bring two canned food items or a non-perishable item to jump start a new food ministry in the Town of Halifax.

In a move somewhat unusual in community theatre, Halifax County Little Theatre’s upcoming production of “How I Became a Pirate” will feature two actors in the lead role. Jake Carr and Easton Berry have been pegged to bring the lead role of Jeremy Jacob to life, with Berry being the understudy.
