Acclaimed singer songwriter coming back to South Boston

Singer songwriter Jennifer Knapp will return to Bistro 1888 in downtown South Boston on Sunday.

Knapp is a Grammy nominated, Dove Award winning musician who returned from a seven year hiatus in 2010 with a new album, “Letting Go.”

“Letting Go” was recorded in Nashville with producer Paul Moak and features 10 folk rock songs showcasing Knapp’s astonishing straightforwardness and spirituality.

Knapp has received critical acclaim with The Los Angeles Times calling her “a rising star” and People Magazine describing her as “an uncommonly literate songwriter.”

The public is invited to join friends at the Bistro for an intimate, acoustical evening with Grammy nominee Jennifer Knapp.

Doors open for appetizers, soups, salads and drinks at 6 p.m.

The opening band of Chef Margaret Moorefield, Jo Ann White and Tammy Moore will perform followed by Knapp’s performance at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 in advance.
