The sunny summer days are beginning to shorten, and students are back in school. But that doesn’t mean the good times have to end just yet.
The Halifax Village Business Association will be turning the heat back up on Saturday, Sept. 15. The next installment of the successful Jam Series will feature the local talent of The Hot Damn Band. They will be plugging into the Halifax Farmers Market from 6-10 p.m.
As usual there will be food, beer and wine available, according to Jam organizers.
Food vendors will include Breedlove’s Seafood and Thomas Pugh.
Local craft vendors will be offering their wares, and play areas will be available for the kids.
This particular Saturday Night Jam also will feature a live auction with goods from Halifax businesses and artisans, organizers said.
Additionally the Halifax Village Business Association is holding a raffle for a Henry Golden Boy .22 lever action rifle. Raffle tickets are available for $5 at local Halifax businesses and also will be available for purchase at the Sept. 15 event until 9:30 p.m. The winner will be announced at 9:45 p.m., and the winner need not be present to win.
Admission is $5 with children 12 and under admitted free.
“There is truly something for the entire family at the Saturday Night Jams,” organizers said. “So, bring a lawn chair and your dancing shoes and keep the summer fun going.”
