The boys are back in town

Robyn & The Hoods bring a mix of five unique musicians, four different cities, three different states, two different time zones, but one main goal:  to continue playing music together that through the years has evolved into the band that today performs early R&B, rock, soul and originals with a drive and intensity only they can deliver.

Hugh Vaughan, guitarist and vocals, will fly in from Atlanta, Ga., to open Halifax Events’ Friday Night Blues and Brews Jam on Friday.

Vaughan will take the stage at 6 p.m., and then at 8:30 p.m. will join the remaining Hoods: Robyn Robbins of Mt. Laurel on guitar and vocals, Carl Meadows of South Boston on bass and vocals, Doug Matze of Richmond on keyboards and Chris King of St. Louis, Mo. on drums.

Bring lawn chairs and dancing shoes to the Farmers Market in Halifax for music, food and refreshments.

Tickets are $5 at the gate, children 12 and under free.
