The South Boston Public Library will host classical guitarist Peter Fletcher at 6:30 p.m. July 19.
This free concert is being brought in as a special event for Summer Reading 2012, according to South Boston Library branch Manager Jessika Pettit.
Fletcher has studied, played and taught music for over three decades. He began playing at the age of 7 and has appeared in concert halls across North America.
This past January, Fletcher made his fifth appearance at Carnegie Hall.
The Halifax County South Boston Public Library System is pleased to have such a distinguished artist give a concert at the library for Halifax County residents to enjoy free of charge, Pettit said.
Fletcher will play selections from his musical career, as well as, take questions from the audience.
