Rehearsals for Halifax County Little Theatre’s “The Jungle Book” reached a new high over the weekend as costumes and headpieces arrived to bring the colorful story from 19th-century India to vivid life on The Prizery stage.
Based on the Rudyard Kipling classic, the story follows Mowgli as he is separated from his human mother and adopted into and educated by his new jungle family. Mowgli seeks his place in the world but must first face the challenge of the tiger who has been stalking him his entire life.
“The Jungle Book” offers this story filled with laughter, heartache, frustration, danger, family and friends to audiences of all ages starting this Friday at 7:30 p.m. and continuing for two weekends.
