I don’t know how many times over the years I have had moments when I asked God to do something, and it turned out totally different from what I had expected. Usually it is better for me, although it sometimes takes a while for me to get to God’s page rather than my own.

County jobless rate jumps again in Jun

The jobless rate in Halifax County rose by three-tenths of a point in June, as ever fewer residents were able to find jobs than in May. However, the county’s unemployment rate continues to remain below double digits.
